2013 MK5K!

Hello and Thank You for visiting our website. My name is Dianna Lauber. It has

been a dream and goal of mine for many years to hold a fundraiser for The Mary Kay

Foundation. Its mission is to fund research of cancers affecting women and to help

prevent domestic violence while raising awareness of the issue.

In 2012 with the help of sister beauty consultants, family and friends, we made that dream come true

by holding the first ever So Cal MK5K. We raised over $14,000!!! We are looking forward to the 2

Annual So Cal MK5K. Our Goal this year is $20,000.

The two issues that the Mary Kay Foundation is dedicated to are very dear to my heart.

Twenty-five years ago, my children and I left an abusive relationship after 10 years of

abuse. In 2004, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I was cancer free for almost 8 years.

In May of 2012 the cancer had returned. I had surgery and underwent chemotherapy and radiation.

Being a survivor has made me want to do more to help other women who are struggling

and hurting now. Research for finding a cure to cancer is costly but progress is made

daily. Domestic violence needs to stop and people need to be informed.

I am very excited about the 2nd Annual So Cal MK5K Fun Walk – Run. I hope you will join

us. Together we can make a difference in the lives of women across the nation.
